The Great Pacific Coffee House

The Great Pacific Coffee House is on the first level of an old brick building standing majestic over looking the small town of Pacific, MO. The history of this town dates back to the 1800’s it is a small community where you can still raise your children and feel safe when they play outside. Bad guys please don’t be mislead with what I am saying about child safety the Pacific police force is vigilant with their patrols and quick 911 responses. The parents of these children react first and call the Police second..Get my meaning!

We have hunted several private residences in the town of Pacific and every home has referred us to the Great Pacific Coffee Company. They all claim it to be the most haunted place in Pacific. Alexandra and myself were doing an interview with a local newspaper at the coffee shop on a Thursday night and one of the owners just happened to be there, so we went right up to him and asked to hunt his place. He didn’t hesitate to say OK. I assembled my team and we hunted the very next weekend.

Alexandra, Kim, Jeff and Myself assembled in the parking lot and set up our game plan. Lou could not make it that night. We set up our voice recorders on the third floor and went back down to have the owners walk us through the hot areas. One of the owners was walking her dog through the building as she showed us around to all the hot spots. We approached the back store room as she walked and told us of a little boy who was killed in this area back in 1913 by a barrel of supplies that rolled over and crushed him, as she was walking the dog threw itself to the floor and would not move. She tugged at the leash but it still would not move. In fact, it turned its back to the storeroom. I asked if the dog had ever done this before? She replied every time we get by this door. I knew we had to set up our equipment in this room. One of the team asked if the boy actually died in this room our in a hospital? She replied no he died on the second floor. She and the dog took us to the exact room he passed in. No strange reaction from the dog in that room.

Our team went to the third floor and began our EVP session. It was really hard to hunt the third floor due to it being mostly large floor windows without shade and being right next to a train station. Every car that went through caused shadows that ran along the inside walls and a train came through sounding its air horn every 17 minutes which dampened all minuet sounds. Alexandra had spirits communicating only with her for some time, a lady was telling her name (Mary) and peaking around corners at her. Frustrated by all the debunking that was needed to do a through job we moved downstairs to the 2nd floor and used our flashlights to try and get one of the spirits to turn it on. That was successful in the room the boy actually died in. We then moved down to the storeroom where we caught nothing, it was very disappointing. We moved back to the third floor where the action was immense this time. Alexandra and Kim could hear names being given to them in their heads without words. They would say them out loud.. Frank and Henry were the two that kept coming up. We found out later that the boy that was killed was named Henry. Kim was freaked out just a bit on that one because that was the name she kept hearing. Icy cold fingers kept touching Alexandra. Her hair was tugged in multiple places around the room and her arm was caressed. Jeff had the flashlights lighting up on command answering questions by turning the light bright for yes and dim for no. I had no personal experiences the first night except a picture I took of an open window with had a different reflection than my own starring back at me. We moved back to the second floor to investigate the parlor room where people say they had seen the little boy’s ghost. Right away Alexandra took some photos and a strange light blast streaked across one of them. Very unusual. The owner and her dog came into the room and stayed with us just to watch. Her dog became very antsy and relieved itself on brand new carpet as if something scared it. The owner came up to us later and said that dog has never done that in the building before. We thought this to be very odd. We caught lots of orbs and no not dust. Orbs that illuminated their own light source. We caught a few evp’s and no video evidence.

I wasn’t convinced we debunked enough so I talked to the owners and asked if we could come back to try and debunk our evidence. They agreed.

We were able to debunk several of the EVP’s from listening to people and cars outside of the building. You can hear them clearly inside of the building. We did catch a few we couldn’t debunk and they are posted on here for you to help us. I am satisfied we did our hunt thoroughly and without biase.

I fell in love with the architecture and atmosphere of this building the moment I walked through door. The owners have done a fantastic job in creating a great family dining experience. They offer live bands on the weekends and the drinks are ice cold. Either way YOU WILL NOT be disappointed.
A special Thank You to the owners of this fantastic place. A must see!
